I have a set of Fullers inline cat hardware if interested. Bracket, strut, and rudder all in one. I can include the flexcable and rudder linkage also but it was made to fit my BJ26. It is all in excellent condition. $60.00 shipped (no insurance unless you pay)
I need Some hardware for my 34" m1 cat let me know what you have....
need
strut
turn fin
mounts
everything
Why do you want turn fins? I love the way cats slide around the corners. Although the Mean Machine is the cornering fool. Are you sure you need turn fins - I don't know this hull, but never see turn fins on any cats other than the BJ.
I have an M1. In my opinion do not put turn fins on..good call, Jesse. I have Fuller's offshore hardware on mine, if I did it again I would use standard hardware, but I desired a boat that turned in both directions, on a cat I think standard hardware will achieve that. Fluid??
I just put together a little 24" cat with standard and it ROCKS both directions, haven't noticed a difference in turning ability - will pay attention next time out. In fact, I may be changing my 27" from in line to standard. My impression from my builds is that if you are going for high speeds (>40s) then standard is pretty much the way to go, below that, inline robs speed, but is handy and cool looking.
Jesse, my H&M micro cat turns on a dime in either direction on standard hardware with flat water conditions. My thought on a large cat that inline would be the way to go for what I wanted to achieve, your points are very valid
