Another day of light turnout and we didn't even have any organized heats due to it. Our normal 2nd Sunday race day just turned into another test n tune.

Another windy day at Ackerman so attendance wasn't that great. This is an early morning Limited Spec Offshore heat before the wind got really bad.

Here's an old mono that Dave drug out of the cobwebs and rigged up for testing an ESC. He never really got to test it at full throttle because the hull was behaving so badly.

Another short one. Gary from The Villages brought his twin Shocker cat down to try out. That much chop does not work well for something moving really fast.

I have to say that other than the hazy sun, today was actually a much better day at Ackerman than any of us expected. The wind forecast was looking like a big boat kind of day but there was not a lot of chop in the early morning hours.
1st up Dave's Miss Elam on a run. He's starting to get this one dialed in pretty good now.

Dave's Titan was running really well with the Leopard 4082, T180 and X447 prop. His next time out with it the ESC blew though.

Managed to talk Chris into trying out my new camera and got some video of my freshly repaired Falcon cat today. AT 50 feet and well over 50 mph the repairs are not noticeable at all.

Rich brought out his Mini Mono today. He kept wanting to race my Falcon cat with it but I told him that first I'd need to put some stickers on the insides of my sponsons that read "Mini Mono Intake"

Last one today. A short run on my Sprintcat with Chris at the wheel and me shooting video. It started out with SC against the Spartan but Rich blew the Spartan over somewhere around lap 3 so thought I'd let Chris finish running down the packs since he didn't bring anything to run other than the recovery boat.

I know what you mean about old stinky too. My old DF 33 had that problem a couple years back. A good denatured alcohol rub and putting a fabric softener sheet in it for a couple of day will help a lot.
