I just got an email from castle on a recall of all ice and hydra ice HV controllers!!!

I got that email too. I have two brand new never used ICE controllers. One LV and one HV 200's. Guess I'll have to send 'em in. The LV was going into my P mono. Guess I might have to scratch that class at the WCRA.

Wonder why I didn't get that email? I did get one from them a couple of months ago regarding the Ice 120 but I don't even own one of those.
I'm really not wanting to scratch open mono if I can help it. I was already thinking about transferring my P mono entry over to the p spec hydro if we don't come uo with a third. Spec hydro is still one boat short of a class too.

Thanks for the link to the CC recall Chris. I'm wondering if mine might be of older stock and not affected by the recall. Already looked and couldn't find a V3 marking anywhere.
Jim, your Ice 240 is not part of the recall the way I read it. It is only on the Ice 200 HV

Same here but, if I'm interperating it ("The only controllers that are properly modified and are approved for operation will be labeled clearly as Ice 2 HV (Amp Rating), Mamba XL 2 and Hydra Ice 2 HV") correctly, mine also doesn't say Hydra Ice 2 HV.

Unless the gas/glow guys like to wait until the last minute the wrca race is looking like it's going to be a non event. So far only 8 racers and we make up 3 of them so far. How bout it Kong? Need at least one more P mono to make it a class.
And a "you're welcome" to all on the the fire ant treatment. I hate those little ****ers.

Typically people wait till the last minute to enter races. Don't know why.

I got a question. Has anybody in here tried using anti seize for lubing their flex cables?

The owner of my local hobby shop (George's) has been telling me about using a mix of it and STP as being "the best" thing for shaft lube. George does have a lot of boating experience but it's from the 70's and 80's and he's quick to say that our electrics are a lot faster than what you could expect from a glow motor back when he was racing and building boats.
