As nice as the weather is, would kind of like to ride down to the SRQ squadron and get a test flight on my latest little jet in the early morning.

There is. I was a member there until I let my dues lapse this year. It's a grass field with trees on the approaches. Neither work well with jets and I don't see them ever changing it. They're a little overly proud of their facility, too. Raising dues to $100 a year and have a $200 "initiation fee" to join them.

SRQ has a 100 x 500 paved runway and very clean approaches from either end for $75 a year and a $30 initiation for new members.

I'll be bringing the usual suspects and will be there approx 8:30 in hopes of catching some smooth water for the hydro.

Och, good lord thats a lot of money to fly a plane. Ive got a huge field by the house, and you can land it on the roads that are not occupied by houses yet. or.. put floats on your jet, itll look ok, trust me. then you can land in the pond.

If it's accurate it's calling for dead calm at 7:00 am. And only 4 from the SW by 10:00. Looks like the spike is only showing around 9 at 4 PM and I plan to be back home by then. Lets just hope the figures are real this time.

Bill, how bout LSO? you bringing the MM? Do you have it legalized yet?

I didnt get a chance to do some work on the HPR so if I even bring it it will only run some 4S laps. Matter of fact, I will bring it and perhaps "someone" can take some good action stills of it.

The Mean Machine is still having problems. Even in illegal format it wouldn't run a 4 minute heat at your pond without shutting down. If you think of it bring your GPS too.

It was great day at the pond once the fog burned off (there's another story behind that pic), the weather at Ackerman was the best I've seen it.

No wind and, the water was GLASS!

The great thing was, not one of us put anything upside down today. Had some close calls though.
