Just about done charging packs for tomorrow but will probably be a little late getting there in the morning.
One of my flying friends has acquired a twin turbine powered A-10 Warthog with a 10 foot wingspan. I'm meeting him at 8:30 at Rothenbach park to video tape the maiden flight for him. Should be back to Ackerman by 10:00 at the latest.

Today was rough as usual at Ackerman, but we got some fun runs in.

Heres a couple pics of an Aeromarine trying to get frisky w/ a Geico. The Geico bites hard. I "Geico" had just spun out as I entered into a turn (about 15 seconds in). Bill "Aeromarine" didnt see the me stopped and clipped me. Sounded like an explosion, but he kept running fine so I was sure to see my hull destroyed somewhere. I continued and after bringing it in found not much wrong with it. Few minutes later when we all came in, Bill noticed a lot of water coming out of his hull......

1/8th scale data log

The wind was howling at Ackerman again today. But got several runs in with the the new Proboat 1/8th. To say I am happy is an understatement. Found my water leak, added a full 1 lb of weight to the left front sponson and now have a boat with reasonably low amp draw and room for many prop changes! It handles well and should be competitive.

Also happy to report that the 50# trolling motor worked really well. If this suits everybody, the club owes me $50 and I've already paid my dues for this coming year. Kong made me give him $85 for it since he had to drive 40 miles to pick it up.

It's not a biggie on the motor. I can actually wait until we collect dues again if need be. (Think Jim said there was about $100 left in the kitty when we started looking for a new one). I just thought instead of draining us down for the full amount I'd deduct the upcoming $35 dues from it.

PS if you ask me it's already nip n tuck between the two. I'm lucky you didn't have fresh packs in yours.

hey ray got any pics of the install in the proboat hydro? i have that hull in gas right now and need idears.....watched the world tunnels in internet all weekend and found out gas is for the birds...all u have to do is finish and u get at least second place....then dodge the 7 dead boats on the corse....
bill how come no shots of the rescue boat planeing off?
