My Q sport is a mess right now. Pete is making me a new fin. Hoping that will make it turn. I keep blowing right over the one that's on it now.
I am making an exact copy of the one on my whip. Design seems to work pretty well. Can't see why it wouldn't work on your boat since it's the same hull. Tony wants one too. I'll bring them to practice next Wednesday.

Out of the box the Lucas Oil/ Motley Crew can run in 2 classes.

P-Limited Cat which is a six lap sprint on a 1/6th mile course.

P-Limited Offshore which is 4 minutes to do as many laps as you can. The course is the modified 'M' with and offshore bouy places approximately 85 feet past the left hand turn. Total laps for the 4 rounds determine placement.
Caution: Does not play well with others!

Actually, you can legally run it in 6 classes. P ltd cat-offshore-hydro, P cat-offshore-hydro. It will only be competitive in P ltd cat-offshore.

There is a guy in Canada making Titanium turn fins. Randy Rapedius. They are thinner and stronger than 7075 Alum. He wants about $95 Cdn for one. Very nice but, out of my price range...

Your only limits for P limited are the motors themselves, 4s batteries and 34" length. Here's a link to the rule book. http://www.namba.com/content/library...a_rulebook.pdf

You want pages 95,96, and 97 I believe. It's not super complicated.

The short version is "buy a stock boat, throw in 4s, use any prop you want, and go have some fun". You can modify the sponsons if you feel the need.

Must have legal motor, i.e: Aquacraft Ul-1 2030kv, Aquacraft 1800kv, Proboat 1500kv or 1800Kv. Aftermarket esc's are o.k. Aftermarket radio's are o.k. Props, you can go wild if you like but, you don't want to burn anything up. After market flex shafts, rudders, servo's are all o.k. Hull mods are o.k. too meaning sponson blueprinting etc... Any batteries up to a total of 10,000Mah... Did I forget anything?
