IMPBA D XIII Grand Prix May 25&26
Hey Gang.
The SOWEGA Model Boaters will be hosting the second Grand Prix Race of the season May 25-26, 2013.
This race will be held at Hodges Hobbies 428 Neil Hodges Road, Andersonville, GA. 31711.
Go to Google earth and check out the site. If you zoom in close enough you can see the buoys.

Remember there is a 150 boat limit and once we reach that number, classes that does not have three boats will be eliminated and we will be filling other classes after that..
Hotels and restaurants are in Americus approximately 6 miles away.
Lake Hodges is a man made lake.
It is 302' wide and 602' long.
There is a full size course with 5 buoy turns and entry buoys .
With this layout there will be 116' clear on the front and back stretches and 101' on the turns.
This pond will require concentration, a good pitman and knowing where your throttle finger is.
It will definitely be different from any pond you have raced on.
Guaranteed to be different and exciting racing.
Also on Saturday there will be a full size Piper Cub fly-in across the pond at the hobby shop.
We will start racing at 11:00 and race till 12:25 and take about an hour lunch break.
On the hobby shop side of the field there will be a food vendor that will have great food, plenty of planes to look at and at 1:00 Mac Hodges will be flying his 20' wing span B29 Bomber in an exhibition that you wont believe.
Racing will resume after the flight Demo.
