    If I can stop shaking I might have a chance. Open Mono..Aeromarine Tripple X, 3060/7 and 8s with a 457/3....Brutal Class.

Bigger FE's do very well in the Open Classes, matter of fact Chris K. won Open Mono last year.

Half the fun is pitting the different disciplines against each other!

Gonna need another couple 1/8th Scale FE's and P O/B Tunnels or it's not looking too good for them...

Howard, every time I don't finish a heat I hear your voice in my head "gotta finish to win"

I modified the NS4 I bought from you. We'll see how it goes I guess. Looks cool for sure.

The mono will be making it's maiden voyage Friday open water. The Q sport I may go right back the the old fin with a deeper straight rudder and be done with it.

    Finishing is king.

I think if you go out there with the objective of turning laps and finishing races you might be surprised what kind of point totals that actually yeilds at the end of the event.

If my Q was ready and I was able to get more time with it, I would try and run it in Open hydro.

    Later,

Any opinion on Q sized boats in an open class? Might be a little rough.

Still working on Q fins and my Q mono is still not clear coated. Paints almost done though.

Wait for the confirmation from Terry, but I am 95% sure that is OK. Last I spoke to him about "open" classes at the Northern Lights "Open” That was his philosophy; open means open!

I am still working out my schedule trying to make this race too. My work schedule and wife schedule is chainging daily (another long story).

    Later,
    Ball

Holy smokes. How am I supposed to concentrate?

Terry, do you guys allow FE in the open mono and open hydro classes? Not sure I could compete there but it would give me more boats to run.

Just over a week to go now, shaping up nicely!

Speaking of shaping up nicely, I've just got confirmation our off duty Flight Attendants will be making an appearance Saturday to sell raffle tickets.

    Tough to find classes.

I was going to bring a couple Q boats but there's no place for them.

I cant get to this one AND the summer classic in the same month. Plus we have a club gig in between. 3 races in month......I would need a new place to live after.
