I run an aeromarine mean machine.

Your boat has some decent speed there, BUT, it's not crazy stupid fast, more like out of control.
Controlled speed looks different. At 60, my mm will run circles at full throttle without even the slightest hint of flipping, that's a whole different game. Work on your setup, and you can run 5s no problem.

Hey thanks for the observation but a mean machine is in a different class than my miss geico. The geico is more like a toy grade boat to me. So thanks for letting me know you have a mean machine and my boat isn't all that fast. Its fast for a geico. Its really fast for me not getting it lined out just yet. Im new to boats, so I felt like its pretty fast for a first effort. It will not turn at full throttle either....but im sure the cheetah that im currently building probably will.

Please don't take what i say the wrong way, I don't mean to condescend or anything, just consider working out your setup, and you CAN run more than 4s.

Check out Keith Bradley if you like crazy fast.... Even at 100, his boats handle well, so speed is deceiving sometimes.

Here's a short, on board camera, video of my boat. It's an old "Blake gas boat" which I converted to electric. It has to be over 25 years old and I have her running pretty smooth as of now. She has a T180 esc w/ extra caps, Turnigy XK 4082-1500 kv motor and 2-2 cell Nano-tech 65-130c 5000mah batts. With a Octura X447 prop, I'm running over 40 mph with this set up. I've yet to get more testing in with a larger prop and more voltage.

Lol no worries. I just thought it wad fast for a geico. I know there's other boats much faster. Its just I haven't seen too many fast geicos. I know why now too....it blows over quite easily.

I'm lost, this is completely unrelated to the thread. The video demonstrates absolutely nothing in regards to anything we're talking about here.... Start a thread about your boat or something.

It's all about the setup man. A good hull with poor setup is frustrating. A cheetah will run like crap if ya don't got it setup right, as will any hull.

Your Geico will do low 50s and turn wot with a good setup.

Set up - set up - set up - set up..... It's all about the setup. This cannot be stressed enough.

Oh, I have a build thread,. It's been on here for awhile. I was just pointing out that my 25year old gas boat conversion will do 40+ mph.
