If you look at the first few seconds of the vid, you will see that the hatch (custom) is actually kind of egg shaped over the entire length that provides positive bouyancy when its upside down...that combined with offset to one side lipo packs inside the hull make for the actual "self-righting motion (98% of the time).
Love them or hate them...Chris's boats are fantastic runners (and butt ugly in my opinion)Grand River Marine Modellers

Is the high point of the egg shape in the centre of the boat or offset to the right of the boat to give biase opposite the battery side.Originally posted by Doby View PostIf you look at the first few seconds of the vid, you will see that the hatch (custom) is actually kind of egg shaped over the entire length that provides positive bouyancy when its upside down...that combined with offset to one side lipo packs inside the hull make for the actual "self-righting motion (98% of the time).

Still working on it, I believe is number seven prototype, requires quite fine tuning to achieve balance versus time to recover. A small change in weight and sometimes ends upside down.

He has another that goes as well but, a little slower on UL-1 power.
Maybe If I ask really nice he will make me an upper deck to put on a DF26 I have.... Christmas is coming
I would still have to tune it myself.
This would be very good for me since retrieving stranded boats from a wheelchair is very difficult.
Go into production Chris! lol...
