Hardly, actually it's pretty mild. It's my cold water heat race prop.

Heavily modified S-15. 38% slip (not my best top end prop to date). 72 mph. You can do the calculations.

Now running the same boat 84 mph on the UL-1 motor, that took something special.

It looks to me like there is WAY more in that setup. That water is way too choppy to get anywhere near a maximum speed from these boats. To go 70 with that setup and that prop is actually pretty good. That's not nearly the right prop for something like this...

My Raptor with UL-1 motor on 4S1P 5000 65C Thunder Power packs and an ICE 100 ESC spins a modified H10 prop for heat racing and comes in at 110-120 degrees... But... that boat has been setup using feeler gauges to make the adjustments and the prop slowly bent on a little at a time to get it all just right. A standard H10 will over-heat this setup.

What you really need to do is wait for some calm water, and get a good run of 330 feet or more of sustained full-throttle running... Video that, and THEN you'll be able to see where improvements can be made... You'll see where the boat is running wet, what the prop is doing, how high the rooster tail is, etc... That's when you'll really start to figure things out.

Calcs to bang on 72mph, can i ask what prop you used for 84mph & what sort of amps would you see. Thanks Martin.

It seems like we are getting of the subject here and correct me if I'm wrong but it looks like some of you are talking about total different rigger than JAE which set up on it is limited due to the ski where prop choice needs to be the main object , now if we compare to a nitro jae rigger loaded with a novarossi mod motor turning 40,000+ rpms to achieve 80+mph , why can be the same with fe riggers , ones again I'm new to this.....

The temp are Ok with the Leopard long jacket heat is not an issue, the esc is a Turnigy Marine 180 and also there not heat problems. I strongly suggest to use a 3/16 flex in palce of the .150. Broke n .150 flex so swapped to 3/16 and removed the teflon tubing. Works great and no problems.
You will need very good Lipos to get serious power from this set up. With Turnigy 5000mah 40C I get 104 kms/h and 3 minutes run time, with EZpower 6200mah 50C I reach like in the video 112kms/h and 5 min 30sec run time. The Ezpower pack cost three times the Turnigy but are worth the price.

Go for a higher kv/watt motor, on my JAE i have a Leopard 3674 3270kv with long jacket, 180amp esc, X442 and get some very good lipos, they make the difference also.

That was the first time I ran the JAE with the Leopard motor, but water conditions were way to choppy . Will test the boat next week hopefully with calm conditions. I'm new to fastelectric boats and built and made that setup reading forums and speeking to the local pond addicts.
One is Italian 2011 championship winner of 2S Riggers category, and he suggested the X442 prop. Have any suggestions on faster props ??? Any advice will be greatly appreciated.

Bigger prop. Lower kv motor. Your motor choice is all wrong for sport or oval running. Kv is way too high.

The JAEs here in D8 seem to like the 1650 prop... However, NONE of the props mentioned by me are generally a standard s&b prop... they've been tweaked and twisted and cut and filed... That's why it's often pointless to make such a recommendation.

Try the EZpower lipos I use, they will really make the difference. You will gain lots of speed and run time and many more cycles than the top average lipos. go 4 it
