That's what I had in mind when I started tearing apart my old mini wildcat!
Never did get around to doing anything with the empty hull after I pulled out the electronics though.

One scratch and dent Mini WildCat from Tower $30.00
Two motors ($12.00ea) and two ESCs ($19.70ea) from HobbyPartz
Two stuffing tubes ($0.75ea), two .098 flex shafts ($11.99ea) and two X430 props ($9.75ea) from OffShoreElectric.
One used radio and receiver I had laying around from one of many RTRs
All adds up to about $140.00 for this fun little boat. Was it worth the price?, probably not, but it kept my son and I busy for a bunch of hours. We learned about counter rotating props, connecting 2 ESCs with BECs in parallel and that there is something as too much power.

Thats my mistake. I have to admit when I first read this, I read the title but didnt watch the video. I ASSumed that it was the New Mini Wildcat brushless from AquaCraft. SORRY!

I actually just brought it in from the garage today. Thinkin' my new iceberg micro will get my attention first though. Heck, maybe I'll take a couple pictures & stick the wildcat hull w/parts up on the for sale forum here. Someone might like a cheap project - I know I don't need 2 mini cat twins.
