I tried the spay on plasti-dip and my receiver wouldn't work after that. Wouldn't bind. Just my bad luck probably but I won't try it again.Mini Cat Racing USA

I haven't noticed any difference in range at all, everything works just the way it did prior to me coating it.Originally posted by 6S HYDRO View Posthows the range? I always wanted to coat my tactics but was afraid of doing it because of the fact that there is no antenna-and didnt want to mess up its range.

Easiest way I found and cheapest was to buy a tube of Dialectric grease. I fully coated all my rx's boards and packed the cases and mine have been submerged and wet while opperating with no problems whatsoever. I even run my crawler underwater without a rx box.....the water cant get to the board.....period.Aeromarine Challenger,Warehouse hobbies Man O War, Traxxas Blast Rescue Rig, AQ UL-1 Yellow, BE REVO,T-Maxx, Vorza, Baja5B, and the latest addition Baja5T,

Same question...how do you get the waterproofing spray between the PCBs of the ESC?I let the dogs out...

I make sure that there is a layer the covers the gap. Not so much focusing on getting in between the boards but making sure the gap on the sides/end is kinda "blocked off'. Hard to explain. I kinda cake it on thick in those areas. You have to spray and let that area dry then build on top. Takes like 15ms per layer. The top and bottom is easy (2-3 layer)s, the ends and sides take multiple layers to fill up that gap. Surpringly heat has not been an issue, not sure why but it hasn't. I thought the product on top would cause the esc to heat more not allowing the fets to kinda breathe, but I guess because the cooling plates are directly touching the fets the layers don't cause any problems. Just my thoughts. All I know is it's been good to me.
