No, not that I know of. However, NAMBA membership, which includes insurance is a prerequisite for using the driver's area. Since there is a "core group" of us that regularly run there on weekends, it's easy to indentify a new person who shows up for the first time, boat in hand. That person is then advised to join NAMBA and pay the "key fee", which allows access to the private road leading up to the pit area, as well as the rescue boat locked in the garage under the driver's stand. In that sense you could say that it's self-regulating. Not sure what happens during the week when no NAMBA members are present.2008 NAMBA P-Mono & P-Offshore Nat'l 2-Lap Record Holder; '15 P-Cat, P-Ltd Cat 2-Lap

Paul, thel official NAMBA specs for LSO typically aren't observed for club racing-NAMBA LSO rules require brushed motors and NIMH cells. Not to worry; Your AZ racers allow brushless-typically SV 27, Proboat, or UL-1 motors and 4S lipo power up to 10,000 mah. The DF 26 will be fine with any of these motors & should rip. Unfortunately David's Patriot is pretty unbeatableOriginally posted by 6S HYDRO View Posthey what are the regulations for lso, i want to run that class too, can i throw a ul1 setup in my df -26" clone

Nope, NAMBA allows LiPos in LSO:...NAMBA LSO rules require brushed motors and NIMH cells...
Power Limits: 10.1 to 15 Volts nominal, any chemistry. Maximum of 2 packs in parallel. Maximum capacity of 10,000 mAh.
But like Tony stated, no clubs I know of run 700 motors only. We have all gone to the UL-1/SV27/BJ26 motors. Why? With LiPos the 700 motors burn up very quickly and are far moer expensive to run than the BL motors. They will last "forever" if not abused.
The NAMBA rules should be changed but the current management doesn't like votes.....

Sounds right. I guess some clubs are different though as ours only allows sv and bj26 motors and only 4S1P. Is great for the motors and esc but plays hell on the LiPo's.Originally posted by Fluid View PostNope, NAMBA allows LiPos in LSO:
