Holy Crap! 35 lbs of batteries alone. I wonder what those ESC's are? Dang, that thing would make one hell of a lipo fire! Danged germans have far too much money!

There's a bunch of them in Switzerland and Germany. Not sure which one went up in flames.

This is the one that was smoked. It ran 4 big Lehner motors. Two on the same shaft, one set on each side.

            Yep, this was Norbert Kulmus boat. Running 12S8P 5000Mah Kokam, 4 x Schulze Future XXL40.300WK, 4 x LMT 3060/7.

It went up to smoke on the second plugin.

There is no info on that.
I asked Norbert last week what caused the inferno.
He said the explanation will come soon.

I have some photos from a couple three contacts at schulze. It will be interesting to see if the explanation and the photos match. Looking at them it is pretty interesting as to what caused the initial failure mechanism. Some folks may have theories but the way the parts failed makes it pretty obvious (again, my observations).

In my honest opinion since schulze built the guts for norbert i am leaning toward damage control before they say anything public.

And no i cant share any photos yet, they are in the locked portion of my picsite. It is on the grass while it burned and it did look like a volcano as Gerwin said. Bet it smells just as good. A very sad sight to see.
