I made the mistake of first adhering the motor supports and then forming the tube. Next will be the whole tube and the flex and then it will be attached.

If you buy these boats with that idea. To be able to work them and modify them.

Working with fibreglass is a wonderful thing. You can repair anything and change anything. Cutting FG or even CF plate is relatively easy with very basic tools.
Figuring out schematics and electrical can be chore tho. Haha

Soon I will try to see what it does in the water. Later I will cut the supports and see what can emerge as an improvement.

haha, yes, I'm not very familiar with electronics. I have basic knowledge. And I'm sleeping very little ...

There have been a few of the German fellas and now our friend Kent( CustomCF Parts) that have run very straight flex setups with the only bend being at the transom where the drive bolts thru. I think they can get away with it in larger hulls (54+”) so that the motors are not so necessarily close to the transom. There is nothing wrong with the bend as long as the flex goes straight into the drive. This will help with bearing/bushing wear.

This is kind of what I was referring to. The Proboat Zelos looks to have almost straight flex shafts and that is a 36" hull also. Maybe it just appeared that way in the picture though.

I am learning with my boat, I am trying to do what I can by my means. It is the first, I will try a second construction with this silverfox.
I know he curved a lot. But there is not so much friction. I think it will work. It also will not be a racing boat.

The Silverfox comes with the mount for dual motors. Mount the motors into the mount, then align your tubes for the flex shaft before gluing in the mount. That should help with the setup because you can keep taking out the mount with the motors attached to get tubes lined up the way you like it.

Added in some Carbon fiber supports for the large canopy and mounted the battery trays. Should be ready to try when the water turns back to liquid form

The black hull should clear that tray if I want to place the 4082 motors. I do not think it does.

I cant see any of the pics not sure what the biggest size motors are that will fit in the tray. I can check when I am back home though.

I uploaded the photos again. I have batteries of 6s, engines 4082 and two variators 150a or one of 240a.
I will try to install the parts that I have. I ordered a set of x442 and x442r in case I decided on a double motor. And an x440 / 3 if I go for just one.

I am finishing up my boat today as it is raining outside. What KV are you running on the 4082? I am also going 4082 on mine with the 440/3 prop. I'll post some pictures in a little.

Okay 6s for the 1500kv and 3s or 4s for the 2200kv?

I have thought 6s for the double configuration of 2200kv. It is what I have available.

Okay Finished

All buttoned up. Going to try the 4082 1900kv with the 440/3 for some testing on 6s 180amp ESC. Made a windshield for aesthetics as the canopy is pretty large and this kind of helps out.
