    Twincraft 2230 Open Mono Project

So my plan was to build an FE mono that I can race in Namba's open mono class here in District 16. I would have posted a build but honestly I was a little afraid that it would turn out to be a disaster. But after a fantastic maiden run I can post now LOL.
    It has a Neu 2230 and a Swordfish 300Pro+ on 10s.
A friend had an old 42" Twincraft mono that I hoped would work for the conversion. I think it went pretty well, it was my first attempt at a flooded stuffing tube as well. I filled the nose with 2lb. pour foam, lined the bottom and sides with CF cloth not too pretty as the bottom was rough and I used extra resin.
I set up the hardware and CG like the nitro version from an article in a 1994 Flying Models magazine and started with Prather 245 for the test run. The boat handled like a dream, trim tabs flat, motor and esc came back cool (water was cold) and logger showed max 123 amps. So room to prop up lol. But the speed seemed not too bad for heat racing against gas and nitro.
Not bad for a boat that weighs 18 lbs with the batteries :) It was a lot more work than I thought but I'm happy.
Thanks to Steve and all the forum members for invaluable information.
