Ummmm....wood colored. Maybe I'll magic marker some of the flat surfaces. It will look different than anything else that's out there for sure. It will appeal to some I suppose and not to others. Many prefer the scale....ish look of a Geico, MC, Lucas. This one is about doing laps more than anything.

I don't really care about finish right now. It's all about the design. It either works or it doesn't. If it doesn't it's firewood.

Ray, I think you may have taken two many of one of your meds. I appreciate the compliment. That may be the kindest ever. Having mine even compared to Eds' is an honor. Ed has forgotten more than I'll likely learn about wood boats.

Eds' boats seemed to me like more than works of art. More like a feats of engineering. I'm not sure he even realized how in awe some of us were with his builds. Wood was just the easiest route for him to get where he wanted to go. Watching him hang with the big dogs with his brushed motors and gear drives was unreal. Makes you wonder what he could have done with the combos the big dogs were running. It was like boys racing against a man. They could beat him sure but it took raw dollars to do it.

Some of Reesors boats were like that too. Where you just wanted to stare at them. "No no no, don't put it in the water yet. I'm still looking"
