OMG! Ask Randy, I've saved enough of those classics to retire off but Tamiya literally affected the economy with those re-releases.Originally posted by Shooter View PostI had the original as well. Should have kept it, because at one point (before the re-release), they were going for big $$$$$.
Super champs were worth 800+ bux now you'll be lucky to get 300 for an original..

I want to build a bigger one but the time it takes is a long one. It may not happen for a long time. Dang bills just keep getting in the way!Originally posted by hazegry View Posthey randy a 21 inch liftmaster would work. I like the looks of that cat any plans for a bigger one say around 40" long for offshore racing?

Well this has been on back burner for a while but I designed a rudder bracket that is capable of handling 80+ speeds on a big cat thought I share it with you all.

Installed on the Scat Cat 33

Speaking of the SC33 hear is one of my friends with his new SC33 twinn.

Some changes have been happening around BBY The vacuum former Has been fixed I pulled the first one in a long time that is strong as it was when I used Propane.

I did another forming today. It is great top see old times with a new face.
Three or four years ago I switched to electric burners from Propane. Everything seamed fine but the Styrene would start to crack after forming, I had my engineers come out and see what was going wrong. They said to put elements on the bottom of the oven along with the ones on the top. this helped a little and I have been able to form small pieces. I needed to do a forming the other day and it was 30 degrees in my forming room so I thought I would heat the room with a dry wall heater. Lo and behold the Styrene look strong like before, no stress cracks and it feels like the Bahamas in my forming room again. The Styrene is clean and no black stain from the propane burmers nice and strong like before.

It sharpens drill bits, sets them at the right angles. Great tool revives a lot of old drill bits.Originally posted by TotalPackage View PostWhat does that do randy?

My wife bought me one of those years ago. It was great for HSS bits, but I never was able to get it work well on cobalt bits. Probably user error!Originally posted by RandyatBBY View PostIt sharpens drill bits, sets them at the right angles. Great tool revives a lot of old drill bits.
Any updates on the Smokin' Joe hull? We are a couple months from boating season in Michigan, and I'm starting to get the itch again.
Thanks!

I will try to get it done this weekend to the point of being ready to build the molds. The bottom mold is done. The rear hatch needs to be made and the cowl mold needs to be made. I will keep this in mind and get more on it, you have been very patience thanks. I will try to not let you down.Originally posted by Shooter View PostMy wife bought me one of those years ago. Yes I want to make a OM34 in the future. A Zephyer 34 and Zephyer 39 all on my want list with the same in the Scat Cat. But I do not have as much energy as when I was young. Now that I have a FG guy helping me I have a little less on my plate!
