Building a 42" Lauterbach from ML Boatworks. Likely going to run a 4092 850kv on 8s. Should I run a 1/4" shaft that reduces to 3/16, or can I use a 3/16 flex shaft?
I don't like using step down shafts. They always seem to fail at that machined shoulder. With that said, 850kV on 8S is pretty tame RPM and would should be fine using a 3/16" flex assuming the length is reasonable.
