On my v500 2000kv outrunner it is set at 15* for stock motor,
But some say outrunner can be set higher, Like 30*.
Just check your temps after a 1 minute run, And if ok.
Run for three minutes and check again,
Out runners run hotter then inrunners.
200F it can handle.

Lenny, I have the 1st version and one motor was hotter than the other, always thought it was friction or some drive line problem, never occured to me to check timing. What timing should the in-runners be set? Any ideas? Why I never thought of that

I am not sure what wind they are,
I know they were not to good of a motor.
Very cheaply made and ran hot and like to eat amp up.
Try a post in Q & A. but watch how you word it,
If you know what I mean.

Yes, I might try that, I always wanted to up grade those two to a 4 pole motors but I am by nature a super lazy guy. Anyway, I will first check the timing on the cooler motor and then see if that is the issue. I don't run that cat often because of this problem, love how the hull rides on water though.

Ok, so here's the deal of timing. At 3.25 the port motor was running 90f and at 26.25, the starboard was running at 115f. If the weather holds out tonight I am going to run the boat at 0 degrees and see what the temp is. I do no that the 26.25 timing motor draws more current because the batter for that motor takes almost twice as long to recharge.
