    6S on Turnigy / Seaking 180A ESC?

Has anyone tried 5s or 6s on Turnigy / Seaking 180A ESC. It claims to support up to 6s but I tried 3 times (2 times on 6s and 1 time on 5s) and 3 of mine ESC got burnt. I used the internal BEC though. I want to try again without using the internal BEC but I am a bit too scared. Can anyone please give me your input.

    Thanks.

I think you may have run into trouble is using the BEC over 4s. I think with a castle bec or a Rx battery you will have no trouble. There is a member here running a twin cat with castle 1717's on 6s no problems on t180's.

How do you disable the internal BEC? Do you just remove the red wire from the connector that connects to the receiver?

Yes. Just take a small screw driver or something and gently pry the metal section out of the connector (red wire). Then you can run battery pack or a Castle BEC.

If you've burned 3.... why would you try again? Good luck.

I'd be curious to hear the hull/motor/battery/prop setups used with your t-180's that burned.
