ESC setting Question

Since this boat has two ESC, when you set up the esc, do you have to set them up separately?

There's a couple answers:

No, Plug in both battery packs at the same time while squeezing the Tx trigger at full throttle. (may take help from a friend)

Yes, but you have to switch the ESC to Rx w/BEC to power the receiver... one of the sides of the Y adapter does not have a BEC lead.
