If you mean ball bearings, no. Only a very particular person should ever use ball bearings in water. the upkeep needed to keep them from disintegrating rather fast is just not worth the little gained.Originally posted by Spartan View PostOk... Then I guess that means no bearings on the ends. Just put cable through n lube the fittin that's it..Steven Vaccaro

Sorry I have not replied... But I would still take the shaft out and grease it for better performance... I have not had a chance to use my OSE cable yet due to faulty ESC...Last edited by Spartanator; 05-13-2014, 10:25 PM.Why are you bothering me? I want to see your boat!

Steven, do you think you would ever sell a hydrodynamic model? Basically tapered where it's close to the transom? Why are you bothering me? I want to see your boat!

Uh oh! The Momma Vaccaro is here! Lol, just playing. I have no true evidence of it dragging, I just question how efficient the strut is at that part. Don't take it as "bad mouthing" or anything like that but I am just looking to make the Spartan efficient. Why are you bothering me? I want to see your boat!

no offense taken. I always look for constructive criticism. I havent seen that as an issue. maybe one of the gopro guys can stick his camera on that spot and see whats going on there.Originally posted by Spartanator View PostUh oh! The Momma Vaccaro is here! Glad. I only got the idea because I have seen other struts that were tapered, even half tapered. Maybe I can just take a bit off with the mill. I think the GoPro idea is excellent, I am tempted to buy one... To be realistic nobody really tries to run there Spartan on edge anymore, at least I don't hear bout' it but I just don't know how much of the strut is "dragging".Originally posted by Steven Vaccaro View Postno offense taken.
