The Pro Boat U-34 It’s Finally Running Better
Took a pound of weight to get it to run right. I would pass on the U34 from my experience with it.

Our club had a Fun Run this past weekend and a new member brought his U-34. He had no boat experience, so this is his first boat. A couple of us had seen one of these run previously, and we immediately told him the turn fin was a problem. I gave him a curved fin I had in my parts box. After a couple minor adjustments we could drive it full throttle thru corners without it hopping or bleeding off much speed. However, getting it down the straightaway without blowing off was a problem. We soon found that adjusting the strut is very limited due to the short stiff flex shaft tube.
We tried a different prop, but it was better with the stock prop. We pretty much settled that at this point it was going to need a bunch of nose weight as OverProp805 stated above, and I've also seen others on the internet say the same. We also came to the conclusion that the adjustable canard isn't all that effective. Cool though!
