PB miss Geico

Just want some advise on my next boat purchase... I curently run a AQ UL-1 and want to get another boat... I was looking at the Spartan but figured that it was an overpriced hunk of plastic that needs alot to run. Now im looking at the PB miss geico... love the boat but I dont like the small amp esc and low volt motor... watching youtube and seeing that its fast out of the box... Any geico owners out there that can give me some advise so I dont make a bad choice?

It's a great boat, but I'd go with the PB Mystic if you're dead set on an RTR. Same hull but hotter setup.

I've have both. The spartan is much faster than a stock geico and the hull holds up pretty well for plastic. The mg hull has a history of splitting at the seam once pushed passed speeds it was designed for. That being said, the geico is a killer boat once you upgrade it and much more fun to drive. Just know ahead of time that it will crush the lid when flipped and you have a very good chance of splitting the hull. Jmo, I could be wrong.

see thats why im confused Im first thinking spartan then geico then mystic then back to the V hull of spartan then so on and so forth........ Oh man I thought getting a new boat was going to be fun....

Give both a fair chance. For me, part of the fun is researching the boat(s) im considering to purchase. Read up on the forums and ask questions - from there you could probably see what others have modded and replaced. However, the deciding factor is if you're willing and can do the mods needed. After that Im sure you have a better gauge of what boat to buy.

In my case, I went for purchasing just the MG hull - previous research showed that alot of owners replaced both motor and esc sooner or later anyway, so might as well save me some money there compared to buying rtr.
