Just playing the waiting game for now. I had a lot of boat projects sneaked-in last few months, so for now we're playing the catch-up game with prior paid projects. My electric projects may be at standstill but have been collecting some hardware for both the 40" cig boat and 37" Cat. While the electrics are halted, I concentrated a bit on gas - but apparently my AC R-42 has been stuck in the mail exchange center since the 31st - cant wait till it gets delivered to our post office. I already received my Zen 290 motor for that as well as parts from Phil's hobby, so once that arrives I plan on finally building my 2nd gas boat!Originally posted by srislash View PostHow are you doing there Mac?

Thanks for sharing Shawn! From those pics, it seems you like the "wing"? I could do that for you if you like. Over here it might not be a good idea as Im pretty sure our retrievers will grab hold of that wing to carry the boat - damaging it.Originally posted by srislash View Post

So what other details you guys might think to make it look scale/semi-scale?
I was planning to add some details over the dashboard but might be a headache to clean up once pulled from the fiberglass molds. I made them flat so its easier to sand/clean - also easier to add decals over the flat surface. Black decals with white gauges comes to mind. Dash board decals are abundant in 1/10 scale - cars, planes and boats. Im sure you'll have a field day choosing!
My 3 drivers in front are 1/10 scale - so I'll be looking for details around that scale.

One of my LHS's has abundant scale stuff like those gauges. I would also be tempted to grab the arch so best make it strong.Same with the hull for me as it will be wave hopping like this http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=E6VJJfSaOYwOriginally posted by macdon View Post

I will borrow my neighbor's 54" Shockwave canopy and reduce the scale of the wing to appropriately fit the 40" cig boat. Since its an optional add on, maybe it could be bolted/screwed to the sides of the canopy instead?Originally posted by srislash View PostOne of my LHS's has abundant scale stuff like those gauges. Not christmas but a b-day gift actually :)Originally posted by srislash View PostI like it when Christmas comes early.Did that come from Andy himself?
Andy referred me to Bruce of Gizmomotors in Florida - as he said Bruce could give me a better deal on shipping to Manila than he could in Canada.
