Maybe all will come to fruition once the cig & cat are out - as you know we can still make various custom canopies for those two as options down the road.

Hey guys,do you think that I should e-mail Scott and get his take on these.He may have an idea of numbers to sit on.It may be a good gesture kinda in the not stepping on toes category.It is a different canopy option and I believe he has a new job and is quite busy with it.He was just doing it to "help" as well.

Well, I think anybody is free to sell their products. Come to think of it, Mac's canopies are totally different in design than the PB's canopy and Scott's. The only thing that's the same is that all of them fits the same hull. I guess ose members will benefit with this by giving them more choices on canopy design and materials.

I guess Jason or Shawn may try to post the canopy on the unique products by ose member's thread and see how people will respond. then if a good number of members would be interested then send some to Jason and Shawn . You guys should talk about it and have a internal arrangement as to who sells to where! Mac may sell directly for the Asian members. What do you think guys?

I think that mardon should be the one who lists them. I will ship them to whoever he wants. I will not take or ask for any of the profits. I think that mardon has a great product that will sell pretty well.... He should state in the listing that if they are inside the lower 48 states that they will be shipped from a CA resident to save shipping charges. It is all up to mardon in my opinion....

Well, I agree with you Jason! Mardon should post it and just indicate that US buyers may contact you and if Shawn would like to sell then he may ship to Canadian buyers. a little mark up on your part won't hurt. let's face it, this will still take a little effort repacking and sending the canopies to buyers right? You guys should talk how much Macdon will offer the canopies to you then add a little for the effort on sending them to the end users. this could be fun!

Hey Shawn, I was thinking, since the only 2 turbine canopies outside Manila are with you. Maybe you can find time to take pictures of them side by side and post it somewhere that people may be able to see them. Just to test the water if people will be interested. Thanks!

I took a couple pics earlier today.I'm going to e-mail them to Mardon so he can post his product.I feel what should be done is see if there is interest and go from there.

Here's one route ...........

For now, all we can do is create awareness for the turbine canopy. From there, we could find out if its feasible to offer or not. Shawn or Jason can post their MG in the "show your rc boat" section of ose or any section they see fit.
If there's any interest, I would probably invest in 5-10 canopies and ship those to Jason or anybody who wishes to market. Once that arrives, then thats the only time we post a for sale thread in the unique products section.

I actually prefer the made-to-order route like we do with all our fiberglass wares/products - but making a batch takes time, shipping to Jason will take another 2 weeks and who knows when Jason would have the time to to pack each canopy individually before announcing that there is stock on hand. If not, Jason or I would get to answer a lot of "where's my #@%^& canopy?!" emails hahahaha!

You see, the more canopies I send to Jason - the lower the price of each canopy will cost as the bulk of the shipping cost will be divided by the many number of canopies. However, making 10 canopies and getting only 3 - 4 orders - will put my finances in the red as my investment sleeps.
I also have to constantly send the same number of canopies to Jason to keep the same price - fewer than 10 will result to a more expensive shipping per canopy.

The basis of the total cost will depend on how much it will cost to ship 10 canopies to Jason, so we need to do all of these legwork first before even post that we have a canopy for sale.

What do you guys think?

Hi Jason, do you have the shipping box dimensions for the Topgun? The reason why I'm asking is because Mac is shipping a hull from L.A. and is talking with someone for a 2nd hull. Now, maybe if we consolidate the Topgun with Mac's hulls we can save some $$$. LMK! Thanks!

Sorry, been pretty busy lately... My wife had eye surgery this week and will not be able to see for the next several weeks.
