Yeah, Scott got the color spot on - but could paint be airmailed?
Nonetheless, I was hoping also to find a paint mixer here locally who can get it closer as it would be a lot easier for me - for future use.
You can for simplicity sake stick to the shape of the origional canopy or if you want to put even more work into it design some altogether different designs that will fit on to different hulls. Matching colors may or may not be an issue depending on the client. If for instance I were to pay you to make a canopy for my Miss Geico, For instance, I might chose canary yellow as the main color or even red in front fading into yellow in the rear. I might also want the windo to be painted in a metalic blue or metalic brass depending on the color of the hatch. This can provide a lot of variation without even having to change the shape of the canopy. Now if you were to offer variations in both color and shapes to fit specific hulls; well I think you can see where I'm going here.
The origional MG design but with different colors would be fine. If so I should be able to come up with the money this spring after recovering from the holiday spending. If you would agree, I'd pay you in advance.
If I were planning on racing I'd probably go for an 1800kv or below motor as I guess that may give better acceleration. I would also consider lower rpm. motors if someone made a prop with a total prop pitch well above 72mm that would fit on my MG.
One thing I like about you and macdon is neither of you have given me any issues on this issue. Some of us like top speed, some of us like racing ovals and some of us just like playing in a lake with f.e. boats. I guess it takes all types. That's what makes these forums so interesting.
