I personally wouldn't not run either of those motors on 6s. 2200kv x 22.2v= 48,840rpm, that is way out of the safe zone. You are sure to break stuff fast, and create a ton of heat in the process. Try to get the rpm in the 35,000 range and you will have a very fast, and more efficient set up. My stock 1500kv on 4s (14.8v) is turning the m445 prop at 22,200rpm and i get 43.3mph, everything stays cool, and i have plenty of room to increase voltage if i want more rpm (and more speed).Originally posted by HYDROJERRY View Posti use them and my brother uses them and many, many others on this forum and on rcgroups forum all use them,,, for the price they are great i think,, but i recomend if you get any get 40c or better the smaller ones are good to but after you go to the 40's or more youll never wanna go back..

Sorry Hydrojerry, i meant to post with this quote, not yours.Originally posted by smoktf250 View PostWould you guys just run it on 6s? Or is that pushing the 4074 2200kv to much. What about the 2000kv? Get two 3s 5000mah 45c batteries? Already ordered 6.5mm bullet connectors. 10ga or 8ga wire be better? Any one else have further experience with turnigy batteries?

i run my MG on 4s2p 4000mah turnrgy nano techs with a t-180 timing set at 11.25 no lvc but time my runs to 5 mins max, with leo 4074, m445 s/b/l, and all connectors are 5.5mm with this set up i'm hitting 55mph, but the faster you go the more work you have to do with the hull imo anyway, i had to true the sponsons up and sharpen them but the esult is well worth the time and effort, best bit of advice read the race prep link by darin you will get lots of tips there. Also i change the flex shaft from a 150 to a 187 as the 4074 was rippin the 150's to bits.Socal Fe member, miss gieco castle 1515 1y t-180, blackjack29 stock, insane FE30 p sport castle 1515 1y t-180, insane FE30 p spec ul-1 motor t-120, insane 34"mono neu 1521 1.5d t-180

www.kintecracing.com has Aeromarine .187 flexes. Or, I guess you can just get them from Aeromarine too.
