How did YOU tune you're Geico? Coz I need help

be carefull witht the 230 prop....that is alot of mettal there......keep checking temps...i have one on my pursuit and havent run it yet......

The second is a clip from a 2-pass run using a Prather 230 prop. I have another graph where it shows 49mph max with this prop....

(Both of these were done using the stock motor and ESC. The only mods to the boat are as posted here: the offset rudder and the truing on the sponsons, and the upgraded contacts on the motor/ESC.)

So with the 180 esc + 5,5mm all around I will give it a try.

One week shipping to Norway, that's nice. Parts from Kintec showed up today.

Time to get it wet again. Not been running since sunday when I was told to wrap it up

So here are the result after 5s 2p nano(2+3s on each side) and 2-3 minuts run with the prather 230 + kintec flex .

The speed ,and sound was great, the weight of the extra pack's helped( they were not in the right place, but I belive with some adjustment the MG would run even better)

But I boiled the motor. I went 5s on first run,and I was just going to take one straight drive by more before having a look at the temps, when i shut down.

I just ordered the m445 to, so I have the 230 /642 and the 445. Now all I need is a new motor. A new Leo 4070 2000kv is at a friends house just a few minutt's away, tempting....

You ran the stock motor on 5S with a 230????? What happen is not out of the ordinary at all. Way too hot a set up.

I smoked mine yesterday on 4S w/ a M445. Id run it SEVERAL times and never had an issue. Yesterday, the motor let go. Luckily I only lost the motor.

Anytime (most anytime) you go up in voltage, you must go down in prop. The 230 is a hot prop for even 4S and needs to be caerflully watched.

i agree i have a 230 and wont even try it on my p mono...just way too much metal there to cause heat lol

ran nice as long as it lasted though .

What about the 4070 2000 leopard motor. Any thoughts on that one ?

I've tried opening two of them without success. I know what I need to do, just to lazy to spend the time on it. And as much as this one stinks, I have no desire to even touch it. I've already tossed it bc I got the "why does that side of the house stink?"
