Will a balanced M445 prop work ok with the stock set up? I run 7.4 40c and 50c lipos. and what timing should the esc be set at high or low ?

Prop will work fine. Set motor timing to high, get the rid of the deans connectors (if you haven't done so yet) and change out the 3.5mm bullets to 5.5mm bullets and you will have yourself a very nice running MG.Originally posted by wppracing View PostWill a balanced M445 prop work ok with the stock set up? On 4 cell not 5 cell...Dont do it on 5s..Ask me why..Originally posted by Diesel6401 View PostProp will work fine. Now, m445,stock motor, SK180 esc is awesome on 5s!!! Also a cf45 prop with the same setup is awesome 2..A cf45 on 5s will launch out of the water and ride a wheely setup just right..I love mine!! Only about 1 inch of the rudder and the prop only is in the water..

Stock system will handle that prop on 4s. As long as he changes the deans/3.5mm he should be just fine.Originally posted by ron1950 View Postid try a 120a esc before id try the m445 on it....watch the temps really close

you'll be saving yourself alot of money in the end.. for about $20 in connectore vs $60 motor $70 esc $30-$75 x2 batteries = alot more than $20
start with something small like an x642 if you just can't wait but the bigger the prop the bigger the load and deans are only rated at 60amps on a good daymiss gieco cc 1518 62.1mph Delta Force 33" cc 1717

ec5 connectors are another good choice and most hobby shops carry them. i use those on my esc and batteries and 5.5mm on my motorOriginally posted by wppracing View PostI wont have time to get the 5.5 bullets for this weekend. SO will leaving on the deans for some prop testing cause any issues with the stock set up ?miss gieco cc 1518 62.1mph Delta Force 33" cc 1717

The amp load is going cause issues for those items. Deans have NO place in FE boating, they are just the RC industry standard at this time.Originally posted by wppracing View PostI wont have time to get the 5.5 bullets for this weekend. Switching over is gonna add reliability to the setup. One of the best quickest and cheapest upgrade you can make to any RTR boat not just the MG is switching to bigger connectors and dumping the deans.
