Does anybody elses rudder turn all the way to the left when starting the boat? It moves back to the center after the receiver is turned on, I was just wondering if this is the norm for startup

Make sure you are turning on the Radio first then plug in the batts then turn on the esc power swicth. To answer your question, yes that can happen and isn't a problem. As long as it goes back to neutral all is good.
