Im guessing he meant he has 6 packs he can do 4S with. I dont think he meant hes going to run 6S.

You are correct. I have 6, 7.4v 2S packs right now and want to order 4 more for a total of 10 2S packs. I don't have plans to run more than 4S through it right now, on the stock ESC. Maybe when I upgrade to a Turnigy 120 and some smaller props I'll experiment with 5-6S

I finally got her wet! Ran 2 sets of packs through it. The first set of batteries ran down rather quickly. I noticed she got a bit slow but kept running it thinking it was the way I programmed it and though LVC might be kicking in early. Turned out it was dragging a pretty long skinny branch from a willow tree that had got caught up on the rudder. Thankfully nothing over heated.Threw the next set of packs in here and she was a dream! I was so impressed with everything about the boat. But there was too much debris from the trees in the water and I had to keep driving it to shore to clear the rudder of small branches.

Jack, just a quite note... Be careful when running all those packs... even though the esc is rated for it, and there shouldn't be a problem, running pack after pack after pack in a quick succession will wear out the ESC... you should keep your runs around 5 mins tops and let her rest for a bit, or do a couple of runs but thats it. (Just not sure if you think that you can just keep putting packs in and running her).

Regardless of the rating, there will always been esc spikes and current, especially since your running on a small pond, thats alot of electricity flow.

Thanks for the input. I'll keep that in mind next time. This is my first FE. I'm used to running R/C cars and trucks in which you can run pack after pack. But I completely understand that the demands these boats put on the ESC is way higher than on a car/truck. Thanks again for the good words and the welcome :)
