Im running 8000 2s packs all stock, get around 11minutes run times with no heating issues, just waiting for the prop and bullet to come, already moved the rudder over, i really like this boat, had a bad time with the miss elam 26cc ......seemed i worked on it more than i played with it.....that got really old

Oh yeah? I've got a pair of 2s 8000mah smc packs I considered using (normally use them in my erevo), but didn't know how the MG would do with double the battery weight. I may try them if you are having good luck!

Thanks bud. These boats really are a blast! Gotta say pro boat / Darin did a great job with it! I'm hoping future RTR options are this nice. If only the hatch was fiberglass.

mines just fine, didnt really notice a differents in handling at all from 4200 to the 8000, im praying to get a run in after work, havent got to play with the rudder since i installed it, can hardly wait

i have a formula with the 26cc ad found the first thing u have to do is thread lock every nut and bolt if u want to play at all lol

i HAD TONS OF TROUBLE WITH STALLING OUT AND HAD THE MOTOR TUNED, COME TO FIND OUT THE EXHAUST WAS SPRAYING WATER ON THE SPARK PLUG, AFTER I REPAIRED THAT SHE RAN FINE

Run time should be better, but not the speed

As I understand it, the only performance differences between your 4200 and 8000 mha lipos, will be the run time, and the price of the batteries.

Yes boomer thats correct other than the 8000 packs being a little more weight but run time is better for me, the packs im running are 68.00 bucks a pac, im getting a good break from my local hobbie shop
