Thanks for the heads up i was damn sure about to do it too. Okay i know im beating a dead horse but if you take the total voltage of a full charged 5s combo by 2s+3s is 21volts total on the head correct? being 8.4v and 12.6v right? or it dont work like that? Is that to much to be right at the limit for the 45amp esc do i NEED to d/c the bec. also people talk about 6s on the stock esc thats 25.2v BAD BAD BAD?

Nice line of thinking but no. Use the rated resting/stored voltage. at each cell being 3.7v 2s would be 7.4, 3s 11.1, 4s 14.8, 5s 18.5, 6s 22.2

You do need to disconnect the bec, but running a seperate rx pack makes the esc work that much less and really helps with heat. Another great thing for you guys to do is to dump those deans connectors and swap to 5.5mm bullets. It will help with heat and amp draw. All the little things really make a difference.
