    BJ 26 cooling Jacket

I have two BJ26 motors and one of them the nipples for the cooling jacket are in the wrong place. I need to spin the jacket a little but I don't want to do it if I will damage anything. Has anyone tried spinning the jacket and been successful in doing it without damaging the jacket or O rings?

Yes you can spin them, they are very tight till you do spin them for the first time , they are like a normal water jacket with o'rings , slide the jacket off & put a bit of oil or rubber grease on the o'rings & the jacket will slide on & off with no problems ....

if you think you are going to damage the o-rings Jim , you can fill the water jacket with WD-40 before you try moving it , i have found that will help

The WD-40 won't attack the O-Rings? I used WD on a gundert silicone cooler and it attacked and softened the water jacket and it never worked again always leaked.
