Nimi battery question

Just a quick question.
7.2 volt 3600 nimi batterys x2
how many volts should they read at full charge?
7.2 - 8.25 ??? Per pack ?

8.25 per pack seems to be what I get. On my 7 cell 8.4 I pack them with 9.4 but not sure why that is. I guess you get more for the bang for the first 10 seconds.

I've seen a 6cell pack as high as 9v hot off the charger. 7.2v = 1.2v per cell, fully charged nimhs usually average 1.35v per cell.
