Hi i did roll it on a table it's perfectly straigh...
Steve i used a paper clip and bent the end on a right angle and it seems that in the stuffing tube like a inch in i feel a little burr like the ends do get a hair tighter to fit the 3mm shaft like a bushing.... so what size do you think it is?
I don't see any bushing pressed in the pipe?
.194" is what the outside of the stuffing tube measured?
:p What go faster that's what I like to do!

Steve maybe i can drill out the ends and the .125 flex cable will slide in the stock stuffing tube?
Thing that worries me is with it coming out then going into the steerable drive will the stress from flexing wear out the brass tubes end very fast?

Well i pulled the stuffing tube out...what a pain it was glued in so good I thought it would never come out!!
what i did was heat up the stuffing tube with a hair dryer then i used one of those compressed air spray dusters ...I used it upsidown and sprayed the liquid inside the brass tube so it would freez..also sprayed it on the outside where i could see it also... then i twisted it with a plyers and she slowly cam out what a time i had you can tell by the looks of the tube!

Steve i know have to place a order I am going to do what was spoke of above by going with a .130 cable ..what type of glue do you use to hold the stuffing tube in what works best?

Also see the pic with the tube measurment ...mnow will i be able to fit the brass tube in the hull that is needed for the .130 cable..look how much space i have left to drill on the hull it's not that much?

          THANKS

You're doing great! Keep going. The tube should fit. The Mini-V I did also didn't have much room either.

No, Get Steven's Loctite, or get "High strength sleeve retainer" from a local auto parts store.

Hi SJFE the motor mount is in straight it's just how i was taking the photo that threw it off..

Diegoboy I can't use Red thredlocker? this stuff don't come off even if heated ..they say once used on a nut it will be permanent?

does the flex shaft fit into the outdrive snug?

I haven't used the red Permanent loctite, so I can't say it'll work for you. Did you get a chance to read this article?

I used the permatex, so I can say that it will work.

The flex shaft is smaller than the stub shaft, so it won't be snug on the outdrive.

Thanks I pM steve about the 603 glue...

about this if they say solder a 1/2 inch so it don't unwind wouldn't you want to do this to both sides?

"Once you have made the final cut, roughly sand the last 1" of the cable end. Than use a soldering iron to solder the last 1/2" of cable solid. This will help stop the cable from unraveling under heavy loads."

Both sides? No. It's not necessary on the stub shaft side. Definately do the motor end though.
