IMO with the stock set-up the radio box is a keeper your electrics are pretty safe inside. I have never had a problem with mine but I now have an ETTI 150 in mine and of coarse it will not fit in there.However if you do decide to remove the radio box Kintec has a nice set-up, it is a piece of hardwood with a servo mount that is a direct replacement with no adjustments necessary.Before you do this though make sure you have taken care of all of your leaks and USE HATCH TAPE

This is my set-up W/O the radio box .It is a mess right now everything has to come out of it to have the wood resined back to the hull due to a 52 mph wipeout

well i recived my boat today!! it is very nice! the first thing i noticed was that stupid hatch lock! it is so hard to get work! i think im going to change that befor its first run. and the other thing is the paint is not that great on it but ii think i will paint sometimw time but other then that its seems like a great boat and i cant wait to run it!
