    Which GPS?

I'm a NuBE to the RC boat arena and am trying to stock my tool box with some valuable equipment for tuning ... like a GPS. I was wondering what GPS is best suited for the UL-1? I searched the forums but only find references that a GPS was used to obtain a speed. Input appreciated.
    Thanks

Thanks Detox .... looked at the module and it appears it needs another part/module to get the actual data... "Requires: Eagle Tree V3". When I do a search on it I get all types of stuff ... still not sure ALL I need to get the speed of the boat. I'll keep reading and if anyone else has more info that would be great.

            Garmin eTrex Legend GPS

Marchall, Check on the Garmin eTrex Legend GPS offered in the swap shop by our member Phi Munsterman. Knowing Phil, it is a first class unit at a good price.

Thanks for the tip ... I was too late, already sold. I found a Garmin Geko 201 shipped for $82 I think I'll get.

The Garmin Foretrex 301's are starting to come down in price....especially on ebay. Very small package w/high sensitivity gps. I bought one last week! Haven't used it yet though.

I'm looking to buy this unit, I was buying it for cycling, but it will go into my boat as well. Let me know how you like it.

Diesel - I finally picked up a 301 a few weeks ago. Works great! The key I think is the "high sensitivity GPS". Super small too!

Yup. Fits great in the vacu-pickle. I put it on top of the batteries. The cg is a bit higher, but I benefit from the weight in front. Last run was 46.1 with the UL-1 electronics and hardware!!
