How far down the hull do I stick on the air dam?

The air dam should be about 1 1/2 - 2 inches from the front edge.
Put it on so the lip with tape faces front and then put hatch tape over it to help hold it down.

it depends on how much you are trying to achieve...
I'd suggest make a temporary one and try different places until the
desired effect is achieved.
