I put this old boat back together and made a lot of decisions on my own without knowing a lot about boats. Now that I have had it on the water many times, it seems that it takes a few feet before the prop really gets the boat going and it is skimming really fast on the surface like I want. In other words, once the nose is down, the prop is closer to the surface and it goes fast.
So I think the outboard and prop is too deep.
Take a look at the pics. The water line is above the wooden mount with the hole in it.
How deep should the prop be from the surface?
Thanks for suggestions
