I'm newer to rc boats but I have owned real ones forever. I can't recall ever seeing a stiletto prop not polished and mine on my boats both are. So why should I not clean up the face? As long as I don't change pitch or the shape of the prop itself?

i do but just a clean up. I smooth it out as some props arent smooth (casting imperfections). as long as you dont change the cup of it you'll be ok.
