How much pitch is lost when cutting props down? Lets say I take octura 457 right and left, cut them down to lets say 45mm, I'm just curious how much pitch will be lost.

Reducing diameter does nothing to the pitch. A smaller diameter prop reduces load and increases rpm. Sometimes reducing diameter will increase rpm and might increase speed.

You can bend the trailing edge of the prop to pitch it up. I do not know of a article on it others on hear may know.Comment
