    cutting dia of props

How much pitch is lost when cutting props down? Lets say I take octura 457 right and left, cut them down to lets say 45mm, I'm just curious how much pitch will be lost.

Reducing diameter does nothing to the pitch. A smaller diameter prop reduces load and increases rpm. Sometimes reducing diameter will increase rpm and might increase speed.

As Fluid has said, you are not changing the angle of the blades when reducing diameter.

You can bend the trailing edge of the prop to pitch it up. I do not know of a article on it others on hear may know.

Im guessing very small bends at trailng edge? How much to bend and where is an experiment?

That is about it and the end results are some set records and over and over to boost them.
