Mind if I ask? Would the hand file be too rough on the aluminum? I got a few of these props and I thought sand paper might work better, just haven't done anything to them yet, and was wondering... also would you mind sharing what is the purpose of the painter's tape?
        Thanks.

The tape is cut to the shape so that when you peel it and stick it to the other side they are the same shape. Clay also works. And yes a file is what is needed. I use different coarseness of files depending on what I'm doing. 1448 props 014.JPG1448 props 015.JPG

This is my 2nd season so there are better places to learn from. I learn the hard way which means my wallet is always out.
Good luck with your props. I will be going to stainless when I get the prop shapping down to a sience. I do enjoy it.
