Just ordered a mean machine need prop help please.

    Here is the build thread.

For those that don't click the link, it has a castle 1515 2200kv.
220 swordfish esc. 5.5 batt connectors 6.5 motor connectors.

I'm new to the boating seen so any and all help would be great. I was told to try a Octura x445

Another question is the boat is set up to be ran on 4s in Parallel, what type of battery's should I try to get?

I second the motion on the M445 prop. Its hard to beat. I've got a meanie' running 2350kv / m445 2 blade on 4s (parallel & series). Welcome to OSE

Btw, this might be of interest when setting it up ...

With my parallel setup I am running 2 4s 3850mah 30c thunder power packs. I will be upgrading to 40c 4s cells

How does "your" Mean Machine run with a X642 on 6s with a 1515?

Standard rotation on a prop is counterclockwise. clockwise and counterclockwise props are available but that's generally only one you run a twin drive setup, so you have props spinning in opposite directions..

Oh ok, I didn't realize counter clockwise in rc land was standard. I'm a mechanic for the USCG and clockwise is standard in the marine world. Thanks for clearing that up.

You're gonna want to get one balanced and sharpened if you don't have the tools or knowledge of that. A raw prop will perform like rubbish http://www.offshoreelectrics.com/pro...rod=octsb-m445
