Non stock revolt 30 prop slection

Hey boaters, hope everyone had a nice holidays and new year.

I have a revolt 30 with a 180a turnigy marine esc, paired with a leo 3674 2200kv motor.
Running on 5000mah 40c gens ace 4s lipos

I want to get a 3 blade cnc prop before the summer, but im not sure what would be the best pitch to get, I would like about 50-55 mph
I have an x442 pretty sharp and ballanced, but she likes to torque roll a bit, and I heard a 3 blade will lessen torque roll some.

Before the end of the fall I had her running pretty good on the x442, but the esc and motor were never even warm, I do run dual cooling.

I prefer the cnc props for ease of use, I did not notice a huge difference from the x442 octura prop and the cnc prop with similar pitch.

Any advice would be appreciated

What speeds were getting with the x442 ?
And also how much run time were you seeing with the 4s 40c 5000 pack ?
With a bigger prop you will have less run time but will have a little more speed to.
Do you have any bigger props on hand to try other than the x442,
To test for temps on the setup ?

I never gpsed it true, just ran it next to my boat, which does 40mph, and I was a tad faster than it, so I estimated about 41-42 mph.

With lvc at 3.4 I was getting 5-6 mins.
I would like to stay around 4-5 min run times but juice it up a few mph, I dont want to push it much over 50 though
I think if I could get it between 45-50 I would be good
I was looking at the first cnc 3 blade prop which has a 2.54" pitch, which is less than a m545 @ 2.65"
What do ya think?

With the stock motor, 4s 4400ma and a m545 prop, my Revolt would do 45mph all day long. I could run 50mph consistently with the UL-1 motor and m545 prop. The m545 seems to be the go to prop for the Revolt.

The m series props are detongued versions of the x series so I would expect the torque roll to mostly go away with a m545.

so with the 2030 ul-1 motor a m545 puts you at 50mph?
So with the leo 3674 2200kv motor I should be in between 50-55,

I did not know the M series were just detongued x series, I tried to use the speed calc, but it melts my brain, and im not sure if I am using it correctly.

I'm sure there are other differences between the m and x series props, but that was the layman's version as it was explained to me.

Put a properly S&B m545 on what you have and you'll meet your goals.

Thanks rick, I did some speed calculations on the speed tool.
If I did it correctly I got the following.
2200kv motor, came out to 29304 loaded rpm
14.8v battery
M440=46 mph
M445=52mph
M545=55mph
OSE happens to have all in stock S&B
I am going to order a m440 and an M445

The m445 would be a good choice. I just sport boat and most of the time I ran my UL-1 motor with the m445 just to be even friendlier on the electrics. Speeds were pretty consistent at 46mph.

Yeah I just sport boat also, Might check out the boat club come spring, they race at 2 lakes close to me NAMBA district 1 I believe.

Yeah I am going to go with M445, mild upgrade from the x442, and hopefully the M series takes away some torque roll.

I thought you wanted to try a 3 bladed prop to help with torque roll and get a smoother ride.
If so than this one should work to, It's a 4514/3 about half way down the list. http://www.prop-shop.co.uk/index.php...ction=products

I am ordering a M445 S&B, will see how it goes
If it still rolls I will try a 3 blade
Everything is frozen solid around here, so it wont be for a few months unless the weather decides to warm up long enough to melt the lakes and ponds
