    Please help selecting props

Please help a nubie, as I understand it prop selection can make or break my first build.
My other boat is a rtr Revolt so no prop selection was necessary. I did get a lifter prop for it from suggestions on this site. I also learned to balance and sharpen (to a degree).

Its time for prop selection for my Ariane 2 cf (36.6 inch mono).
I am running a Neu 1527 1.5D motor and have a Castle Hydro Ice 240 on the way.

This is a sport boat and will be running 6s but I would like the option of racing in Q mono sometime.

I would like to order 3 props, one very consertive, one a little
aggressive, and one a bit more aggressive.

Any and all suggestions will be greatly appreciated.

Thanks for your time and help, without this forum this boat would never float.

    Happy 2014!!

So far I've tried a x445-2blade, x447-2blade the highest temp I've had was 105deg. next one I'm trying is a x647-2blade and I've also got a x446-3blade I may try. I haven't GPSed any of them yet but just from experience I'm guessing it's around 50-55mph right now with the x447-2blade

I ran mine on 6s last weekend with a CNC 446/3 blade & was very happy with it. I'm going to de-tongue it & see how she goes. Bear in mind though, mine only had a 4092 1350kv motor in it & a 180A ESC. Plenty left in the pack after 6 laps though. Not sure on the speed, but it 'felt' fast enough to win a race or two this year. We'll see.

Bold statement Paul. You must be feeling good about 2014. Can't wait for the race season to start. Bring it on.
P.S. Artie's 1/8 shovel is looking so good. Will be ready late feb. Steve

You never know Eh! It's a very stable hull.
That's great about Artie's Shovel. Can't wait to see a fleet of them on the start line.
