I ordered a ose balancer part # 80310. Ok here's the deal , is the shaft supposed to float between the magnets without the prop? Because mine doesn't float , it just falls no matter how close they are. Much less with a prop on it. What am I doing wrong? Or do I have the wrong one. I tried to balance a x442 on it with no luck.

If they have one of the magnets in backwards (ie, wrong face facing the other magnet), it will not work! Check the rod(s) with any other magnet you have laying around, at least you could rule out the wrong metal for the rods. My OSE magnetic balancer works "ok" but a couple of the shafts do not run true (unfortunately one is the 3/16 rod
). I made another magnetic balance myself, and I like it much better. It is threaded rod with conical stops that center the prop. It runs very true and works great for the "final touches" .

Depends on the series of stainless - 400 series is and 300 series isn't. Could be the manufacturer got the wrong series.Originally posted by Benjamin View PostAt mtbenjamin77 , that's what I was thinking but everybody knows that stainless steel don't stick to a magnet so why would they send that? Has anybody else had this problem?IMPBA 20481S D-12
